- Offer Letter from University: The first thing you need to do is, apply to your selected universities in Canada. When you get accepted by the university, you’ll be given a letter of acceptance after which you can prepare for the study permit application.
- Passport: You’ll need to submit a copy of your passport and it needs to be valid. And if there are any old passports, you’ll have to submit those as well.
- Photos: For application, you’ll have to submit two passport-size photos on a white background without any borders. The photos can’t be more than 3 months old.
- Proof of Funds: To ensure that you’ll be able to support yourself financially during the study, you’ll need to submit a bank statement.
- Letter of Explanation: This is the letter where you’ll be explaining the reasons why you’re choosing Canada to study.
- Payment Receipt: When applying for the Student permit, you’ll need to pay an application fee. That payment receipt needs to be submitted.
- Certificate of English Proficiency: It’s required for those who come from a country whose native language isn’t English. You need to submit a language proficiency test certificate. The following are the commonly accepted tests: TOEFL iBT, IELTS, PTE, CAEL, Cambridge C1 advanced.

Gather all the documents
We’ve mentioned above all the documents you’ll need to submit while applying for the visa. Make sure you gather all the documents electronically, as you’ll be applying online.

Create an Account in IRCC

Fill Out forms
After logging in, and selecting the student permit category, the applicant will be given a form that needs to be filled out with accurate information. The information will be provided on the form needs to match the information on the documents.
Submitting Documents
